      There are loads of students in my community who wouldn’t think about a career in science or go to university. I want to run a science day to inspire them and show that science can be fun and achievable by anyone and everyone!

      Schools need more microbiology experience! Simple as that! I would bring microbiology experiments to schools (or the other way round, bring schools to university) to show how fun microbiology can be and share how many doors it can open!

      I have some of the best ideas, experiments and days out planned for schools across the country through being a STEM ambassador and I would use the money to make sure students that are interested in science and especially microbiology get the opportunity to visit universities and spend the day with the scientists!
