• Question: When virus' and diseases become imune to certain antibiotics, could you just alter the strength or quantity of the antibiotic taken without harming the person and would it work ?

      Great question, the whole point of antibiotic resistance is that the bacteria have built mechanisms to make them immune from that particular antibiotic, so even if you up the strength it still won’t work. It takes a long long time to make new antibiotics which is why we are looking at more natural alternatives. For example with bacteriophages which I am working with-the viruses that attack the bacteria, when the bacteria evolve the viruses will evolve alongside it, hopefully preventing the problem of treatment resistance in the future. This is the end goal which may take many years, but something to aim for!
