I worked with a bacteria called Clostridium difficile during my PhD. This bacteria is found in poo as it causes diarrhoea! So, you can imagine I had some pretty gross experiences when I was trying to get samples for my research! Yuk
I would probably say people. Not when I am exchanging ideas, discussion is certainly one of the very good thing about sciences. I am more talking from an organising/administrative point of view. It is often hard to get people together or to have things agreed.
Positive point: you must learn patience!
I would say the worst thing is experiments not working over and over again. Sometimes when you’re working so hard and you’re not getting the results you want, it can be frustrating. BUT as I have learnt for every time something doesn’t work you are taking one step closer to finding the right way. So you have to keep trying and stay positive
