Good question! The viruses that I discovered are called Bacteriophages. They are special because they don’t infect humans they only infect and kill bacteria!
Now bacteriophages have been around for a very long time and in fact were discovered in 1915, but the ones I discovered were able to kill a bacteria that is quickly becoming resistant to antibiotics (Staphylococcus lugdunensis) and will cause more disease! So its exciting because these new viruses might be the answer to antibiotic resistance!
As for the viruses names they haven’t been officially approved but they are very simple, just my initials and a number (CR1-CR6).
