      That is a great question!

      Methane is generally bad for the environment (especially from cows), but if you capture the methane and burn it to produce energy carbon dioxide is produced.

      Now, carbon dioxide is also bad for the Environment…. so why do I do it?! :S

      If you think back to the grass I am feeding to bacteria… Grass uses carbon dioxide to produce food and grow. So the grass absorbs any carbon dioxide produced when generating energy though burning methane. This means that there are no emissions of Greenhouse gases (gases that are bad for the environment) as they are cancelled out by the grass re-absorbing the gases.
