• Question: How accurate is your data and what is the level of uncertainty?

      I believe my data is quite accurate as generally we repeat the experiments for a very minimum of 3 times. Each time we do what we call 1 biological replicate we grow a fresh set of cells, a fresh culture of bacteria and we use a fresh stock of virus. 3 biological repeats is the very minimum that should be done. You want to prove the results are reliable and reproducible. I don’t tend to calculate the level of uncertainty but we use error bars to show the variation of the results and of course the smaller the error bar the better
