Sometimes. I’m at uni in Leicester and my family live in Milton Keynes. It depends where you want to study and where you want to work. If I find an opportunity which takes me abroad I may do that too in which case I’ll be even further from my family! But you don’t have to be! You can choose what is right for you!

Yes, it can do. I spent three years in Nottingham living away from my husband. It was a hard career choice but it was short term and eventually i got a job closer to my home. now we are together in the town we love and want to be in for good!

I am only about 1 hour from my family. When people go to University they tend to move away from home to gain independence. Though there are Universities and jobs all over the country, which means you don’t necessarily have to move away from your family if you don’t want too.

Sometimes yes, so I live in London but all my family live in Wales, so i’m quite far away. But, I try to see them as often as I can and enjoy it more when I’m home!
