STEM does have a part to play in our life; the medicines we take, technologies we use and creature comforts that we have are all around due to STEM research. Maths is important for personally working out your finances. But you can get jobs where you don’t directly have to use STEM subjects

I agree with Aaron. There are so many aspects of life where STEM has had a influence, such as the advancement of medicine, aviation and computational technology. So it that respect it has been essential. But it doesn’t have to be the path of everyone and there are many other ways that don’t involve STEM that are equally important.

I agree completely with Emma and Aaron. In my opinion it is essential as you find that you need STEM for a huge variety of things from building/engineering to finding potential cures or early detection for nasty diseases. But don’t worry if STEM isn’t your thing, there are many other options out there!

Almost definitely, all parts of STEM subjects impact our lives every single day, form the phones we use, the medicines we take and how we are able to use the internet. Without STEM, we wouldn’t know lots of things, so STEM is fundamental for most things in our lives 🙂
